‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ Plot And Timeline
Developed by Leslye Headland, the series was first announced in April 2020. Let’s find out about the plot of the show.
The story will be set 100 years before ‘The Phantom Menace’, during the downfall of the High Republic, a period of peace and prosperity. It will examine the emergence of dark powers that will destroy the high republic, especially the Sith who infiltrated the Republic.
It might feature a white-and-gold-clad Jedi that resists the return of the Sith threat. The titular character will be someone who can do anything to bring back the Sith and save their universe.
Headland had earlier said that it will focus on “the bad guys” when they are outnumbered. The term the Renaissance, or the Age of Enlightenment is used for this period when the Jedi uniforms are gold and white. It’s hard to tell right if it will be connected to the timeline of any other ‘Star Wars‘ series.

Cast Of ‘The Acolyte’
It was recently announced that the ‘Squid Games‘ star Lee Jung-Jae will be the male lead in ‘The Acolyte.’ The show will also feature Amandla Stenberg in a pivotal role.
Jodie Turner-Smith is another star to join the cast of this highly anticipated Disney+ series. Disney is currently tight-lipped on the rest of the cast.
What To Expect?
The timeline, also called the Age of Enlightenment, has been thoroughly examined in novels and comics but never in a live-action format. This is the first attempt by Disney.
It would be exciting for fans to see the gold-white-clad Jedi trooping in the Republic. Also, the show’s developer Headland is known for the weirdly comic show ‘Russian Doll‘. So we can expect some dry humor in the Star Wars Universe.
