It’s usual for the monarch to have her own trust issues when a new member enters her family. Similarly, it seems like Queen Elizabeth II had her own doubts when her grandson Prince William married Kate Middleton. However, there should be some reason why the late Queen had such mistrust.
Kate Middleton has been the face of the royal family for young fans all over the world. She establishes a sense of duty and power through her words and dress. Often compared to Princess Diana, it is Meghan Markle who stands up to Kate Middleton. Opinions may vary but all the women are best in their own way.
Queen Elizabeth II Didn’t Trust Kate Middleton
It is not that the late Queen Elizabeth II always had been wary of Princess Catherine. It’s just that she had her own doubts at the start as Kate Middleton entered into the royal family.
It seems obvious for every grandmother to be worried about the well-being of her grandson and his family. “Most people think they got along really well, but the queen was initially suspicious of her motives,” sources had shared with Ok! Magazine.
However, the mistrust between the two ladies didn’t last long. It came to an end with the birth of Prince George. “That’s when she knew Kate, like her, would do anything to protect the future king…and therefore the monarchy,” the source seemed to mention to the publication. The late did also have her doubts when it came to Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle.
