After a whirling few months due to controversies, Prince Harry is finally getting a breather with the Invictus Games 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Harry had a busy few weekends. Beyoncé’s concert got him and Meghan Markle out of their abode in California. Later, Harry went to London for the WellChild Awards, after which he flew to Germany to attend the Invictus Games with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry started the Invictus Games in 2014 after he came back from his service in Afghanistan. He started the games for the differently abled and injured war veterans. This year, 500 war veterans from 21 different countries participated in the competition. On September 16, 2023, during the closing ceremony of the game, Harry gave a moving speech, hinting at how one must not judge someone by their past.

Prince Harry Credits Invictus Participants For Showing The Power Of Not Assuming
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry concluded the annual Invictus Games in Düsseldorf. During the closing night, Meghan wore a chic Cult Gaia dress, and Harry was in an all-black ensemble. At the Merkur Spiel Arena, Prince Harry gave a moving speech to the attendees. In his speech, he highlighted how important it is not to judge a person based on their backstory or past pain.
Prince Harry addressed the participants in his speech, saying, “Your mission to heal and grow has been a shining example to us all.” During the two-hour closing ceremony, Harry added, “You’ve shown us the power of not defining people by assumption, their backstory or past pain, but rather instead on their ability, how they show up, and who they are in the present.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Germany on September 9, 2023, for the inaugural ceremony. During the Invictus, the couple also celebrated Harry’s 39th birthday at the arena with the ‘Happy Birthday’ song played after the Germany v. Poland volleyball match. At the closing ceremony, he applauded the vigor of these competitors and appreciated them for igniting inspiration among millions.
Prince Harry told the competitors, “We may have provided the platform, but you provided the magic, and don’t ever forget that.” He continued, “Tomorrow you will walk away with memories that are different and unique to you.But my hope is that every memory made brings a smile to your face through a sense of belonging, and an opportunity for you and your family to look forward, with pride and with purpose.”
