Eight-year-old Princess Charlotte is a doting and protective sister to 5-year-old Prince Louis, as was evident during the Royal Family’s Christmas Carol event at Westminster Abby. Prince Louis was quick to grab the camera focus with his innocent and adorable antics, as he made his debut at Kate Middleton’s annual service.
Prince Louis was joined by his older siblings along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Like a natural royal, he seemed unaffected by the large audience present for the service with all eyes and cameras on him.

Prince Louis Draws Delightful Reactions For Adorable Antics
Prince Louis’s harmless antics drew delightful reactions from the onlookers. He was seen blowing a lit candle that his sister Princess Charlotte was holding as part of the Christmas service. Princess in turn responded with a giggle while his mother asked him to maintain his demeanor.
Founder of the British childrenswear brand Trotters, Sophie Mirman said it was heartwarming to see the trio together. While speaking to People Magazine, Mirman said it was especially delightful to see Princess Charlotte being “super protective” of her little brother.
“It’s so sweet seeing the three of them together and particularly Charlotte being super protective of her little brother,” Mirman said. She also praised Louis for looking “so grown up” in Trotters’ “little pea coat and Chelsea boots.”
The brother-sister bond between Charlotte and Louis has been on display several times before during royal family events. In a specific picture shared on social media, Princess Charlotte was seen cradling baby Louis in her lap on her third birthday.

The Royal Siblings’ Relationship Has Won Hearts Before
Another time, during Louis’s christening ceremony in 2018, the princess was seen affectionately looking after her brother. The photographs captured during the event showed her lovingly gazing at him and holding his hand.
Mirman, as she opened up about the royal duo’s relationship, said Prince Louis has lately been imitating Charlotte’s actions. Their father Prince William had also once said that the children enjoy dancing around the house to morning music, as Charlotte leads the way and Louis eagerly follows her.
During the Friday Christmas carol event, the three children were seen perfectly coordinating in navy and burgundy. Charlotte was wearing the same red wool coat from the brand that she wore to last year’s service. “We had no idea that Princess Charlotte was going to be wearing the coat again and she still looks absolutely fantastic in it!” says Mirman.
This year, the family released their annual Christmas card with a monochrome image of the family in jeans and white shirts. Mirman appreciated the family’s “reflective” and “constrained but nice” look.
