The coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla was finally held on May 6, 2023. The event grabbed a lot of attention online as there were a lot of speculations regarding the same for the last few months.
However, there were other things about the event due to which it was in the headlines. One was the presence of Camilla’s ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles. Are the former lovers on good terms?

Queen Camilla’s Marriage To Andrew Parker Bowles And Affair With King Charles
In the Coronation ceremony, not only the royal family and other guests were present but Queen Camila’s ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles was also invited. His presence left everyone shocked considering that he and Camilla separated a long time ago.
Queen Camila married her long-term boyfriend Andrew Parker Bowles on July 4, 1973, and they had two children from their marriage, Tom and Laura Parker Bowles. But eventually, the couple ended up divorcing on January 11, 1995. The Queen had an affair with the new King Charles III and that’s why the then Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated. The duo tied the knot on July 29, 1981.
People said that the affair between Charles and Camilla started in 1986 when they were married to two different people. The affair got officially confirmed when a phone call between them came into the limelight in 1993 and the pair talked about their physical relationship in 1989 and how much they adored each other.
Charles and Camilla were spotted together for the first time in 1999 at the birthday party of Camilla’s sister which was organized at the London-based Ritz Hotel by Charles. Their relationship became more serious when Camilla shifted to Clarence House in 2003 with Charles and they exchanged vows on April 9, 2005.
However, Camilla and her ex-husband Andrew remained on good terms. In 1996, Bowles married his longtime friend, Rosemary Alice Pitman and the two even attended Charles and Camilla’s wedding. It seems they are still very cordial with each other.

Who Is Andrew Parker Bowles?
Andrew Parker Bowles served in the British Army. He completed his education at Benedictine Ampleforth College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
He joined as the Senior Military Liaison Officer to Lord Soames and he was the Commanding Officer of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, in 1981-83. The-83-year-old retired in 1994. He also received an Honorary Fellowship in 2003 from the Royal Veterinary College. He had three more siblings.
