It has been an important month for King Charles III since he became the monarch of Britain. Charles addressed the UK Parliament this month, and he will mark his 75th birthday on November 14, 2023. The birthday party will be a soirée with a few people, including Queen Camilla, Princess Kate Middleton, and Prince William.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not accept the invitation from the royal family to attend the birthday of the monarch. This move has widened the rift between the two parties. More than the snub, the family is irked at the timing of the announcement. Harry communicated it right before Charles’ address before the opening of the State Parliament.
A royal family commentator, Richard Fitzwilliams, told the Daily Express US that the timing for the rejection was wrong. “It could certainly take years for a reconciliation to happen between the Sussexes and the Royal Family,” Richard said.
He continued, “Who would trust Harry and Meghan, especially after their timing releasing the news about not hearing anything about an invite to King Charles’ 75th birthday celebrations on the day of the King’s first speech opening Parliament as Monarch?”

A source told the Byline Times that the royal family tried to cause damage to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s image. The source said, “The greater truth is that Harry and Meghan make better headlines than the King and Camilla or William and Kate.”
It continued, “The idea of them still being in public service but abroad and out of the control of the institution and dominating the media narrative just couldn’t happen.”
The source claims that the royal family “tried everything to make it fail, starting with the removal of security and then signing off on a 12-month assault by the UK press on Harry and Meghan and everyone in their orbit.”
