AMC’s ‘Better Call Saul‘ is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed television series to come out in recent times. The ‘Breaking Bad’ spin-off has been able to match the quality of the original. Some fans and critics believe it is much better than the Bryan Cranston-starrer show that ended in 2013.
The show is currently in its final sixth season and its penultimate episode aired on Monday. Like most of its episodes, this one was also critically lauded. One of the highlights of the episode, titled “Waterworks”, shows the fate of Kim Wexler. She was one of the major characters and main confidant of Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk).
Penultimate Episode Reveals Kim Wexler’s Fate
The second last episode of the sixth and final season of ‘Better Call Saul‘ dropped this Monday. Titled “Waterworks”, the episode jumps back and forth in time and has some major revelations.
(Spoiler Alert!) Through a flashback, we see Kim Wexler (played by Rhea Seehorn) and how her life changed after parting ways with Saul Goodman.
The former attorney is living in Titusville, Florida, with a changed physical appearance. She has a desk job at Palm Coast Sprinklers. Kim lives with her boyfriend in the suburbs.
As the narrative moves back around the Breaking Bad timeline, we see Kim visiting Saul Goodman’s office. She meets him to finalize their divorce while he treats her just like any other client. Outside the office, Kim meets Jessie Pinkman who asks her if he can trust Goodman.
This was a major treat to watch, especially for those who wanted more of the Breaking Bad characters. As the narrative jumps to the future, Kim meets Howard life and tells her the truth about his death. She tells Cherry that she has submitted the affidavit to the district attorney. But Kim notes that nothing will happen because of a lack of physical evidence.
Odenkirk Talks About His Heart Attack On ‘Better Call Saul’
Bob suffered a heart attack last year while filming the final season of ‘Better Call Saul.’ The attack was minor and Bob returned to filming a couple of weeks later.
In a July interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 59-year-old actor talked about the incident. “I didn’t go back to shoot for five weeks. I had a five-week break to recover,” he said.
He added, “And then when I went back, we limited our shooting to 12-hour days. And so they took care of me and I was able to do it, and hopefully you can’t tell when I had the heart attack and when I didn’t.”
Odenkirk also talked about the scene he was filming at the time. “Probably about three-quarters of the scene was shot before I had the heart attack, the day of the heart attack, and then the other quarter scene was after.”
The final episode of the show titled ‘Saul Gone’ will air on August 15.
