The two episodes of ‘House Of The Dragon‘ season 2 have already stirred up a lot of talk in the entertainment world. Season 2 is going to be bloodier and bigger. Who Is Lady Jeyne Arryn?
If you are a devoted fan of the series then you might have found the title Arryn familiar. Rhaenyra Targaryens’ mother was Queen Aemma Arryn. So Lady Jeyne Arryn belongs to the House of Arryn. In the upcoming battle between the Greens and the Blacks, the Arryns are one of Rhaenyra Targaryens’ closest allies.
Lady Jeyne Arryn, who is also called the Maiden of the Vale, was the Lady of the Eyrie and the head of House Arryn. In the books, Grand Maester Munkun’s True Telling tells the story of her joining the civil war. Despite hating Prince Daemon Targaryen, Jeyne Arryn decided to help Rhaenyra since she was an Arryn on her mother’s side and women should band together. However, she also requested a dragon to protect the Vale from the forces of the Greens.
During the civil war, Rhaenyra would send her third son Joffrey Velaryon to the Vale with his young dragon Tyraxes. This was more to protect him from the Greens than to protect the Vale. Joffrey also brought Rhaena of Pentos, his betrothed to the Vale with him. Jeyne Arryn would later make Rhaena her ward. Lady Jeyne is one of only a few characters who survive the Dance of the Dragons and she goes onto serve Rhaenyra’s son Aegon.

Who Plays Lady Jeyne Arryn In The Series?
In ‘House Of Dragons’ season 2, the role of Lady Jeyne Arryn is played by Amanda Collin. She is a Danish actress. The 38-year-old actress is best known for her roles in films such as ‘A Terrible Woman’, ‘Department Q: A Conspiracy of Faith’ and ‘The Promised Land’.
You might have also seen her in television series like ‘Splitting Up Together’ as Charlotte and in ‘Raised By Wolves’ as Mother. Collin has received the Danish equivalent of the Academy Awards, the Robert Awards multiple times for her roles. She is one of the best actresses in the Danish film industry and has been honored with multiple awards for her work.
