‘The Vampire Diaries‘ is one of the most popular teen dramas, that made vampires, werewolves and witches a part of regular television. Fans fell in love with the characters and the show’s story had a prequel and sequel added in the forms of ‘The Originals‘ and ‘Legacies‘.
Since season one of ‘The Vampire Diaries‘, we met many gruesome villains with unique abilities. Summing up, Damon Salvatore was the antagonist of season one, which changed with the appearance of Katherina Pierce, the villain of season two. Season three introduced us to Klaus, an original hybrid. Preceding Klaus, Silas, the first immortal was the antagonist for season four. Season five led us to Markos the leader of the Travelers. Kai Parker is the hottest and the most psychotic villain of season six made us wanna kill him. In season seven we met the savage vampire hunter, Rayna Cruz. The final season of the show introduced Sybil, the siren.

Who Was Sybil On ‘The Vampire Diaries’?
Sybil, starring Nathalie Kelly made an appearance in the finale of season seven and is the main antagonist of season eight. She was initially known as Armory’s Monster, trapped in the vault of Armory until rescued by Damon and Enzo. Sybil is actually a siren, who corrupts and enslaves those that cross its path, feeding off of the darkness in a person’s soul as well as devouring their flesh for sustenance. Her task is of a soul harvester who enslaves Damon and Enzo.
Despite her sympathetic origins, Sybil has shown a cruel, sadistic, jealous, and seductive personality. She uses men to feed her and harvest the souls of the evil men she feeds off. She uses the voices of her victims’ loved ones to satisfy her own needs. Sybil is the most powerful creature that had to be sealed off in the vault by Bennet Witch. She is blessed with the ability to create illusions and control people’s minds.

How And When Did Sybil Die?
In the third episode of season eight, the group discovers a weapon that can slow down Sybil, a pitchfork. Sybil is captured for the fourth time hoping for the answers to enslave Damon and Enzo. She smartly replaced all of Damon’s memory with herself instead of Bonnie and Elena corrupting his subconscious leading him to kill Tyler Lockwood unnecessarily. “An Eternity of Misery”, gave us a window into Sybil’s past life and her transformation into a siren. The story of Sybil and her sister Seline’s survival is the parallel story of the survival of the Salvatore brothers.
At the end of episode ten, “Nostalgia’s Bitch”, Cade makes an appearance. After the bell rings 11 times, she and Seline are at a diner trying to fix their relationship but end up arguing. Cade walks in, leaving them surprised and shocked, and he reveals he could make a visit despite the bell ringing only 11 times. When they try to bargain with him, he sets them on fire, killing both Sybil and Seline.
