After the release of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus’, it immediately became a global sensation. But amidst all the buzz, concerns were raised surrounding the age gap between lead stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli.
Their chemistry, especially intimate scenes in the series, has only fueled these discussions. Now, Ella Bright herself has directly addressed these concerns.

Despite the discourse online, she defended her relationship with Cameli and revealed that it has always been completely professional. She shared that she was 18 years old while filming the series. But never once felt uncomfortable or excluded because of her age.
“I get people’s concern, but also not once did I feel, one, left out from being younger than everybody,” Bright said. “We’re all such a family, and everyone was just more than perfect, and I couldn’t be more comfortable on this set with these people.”
Bright also addressed conversations surrounding the show’s intimate scenes and nudity. She clarified that all actors were informed well in advance about their roles and their requirements before filming even began. According to Bright, she always understood that her character Hannah would involve partial nudity, while co-star Mika Abdalla had agreed to more revealing scenes for her role as Allie.
Ella Bright Says Belmont Cameli And She Became Best Friends On Set

Bright previously opened up about her relationship with Cameli during Creation Entertainment’s ‘Page, Screen and Everything in Between’ convention.
“I remember the first time I met Belmont, we did the first kiss scene between Hannah and Garrett, obviously without the kissing,” Bright told People. “But it was really funny, because we would get really, really close and they would go, ‘And cut!’ It was really, really fun.”

While working on set, Bright said that Cameli became one of her closest friends during production. “I really look up to him a lot,” Bright stated.
“We have so much fun together. He’s the greatest,” she added. “[We] met at the chemistry reads, we got each other’s numbers, and we’ve just been friends ever since. I mean, when you spend that much time with someone on set—we’d have like 15, 16-hour days—you have to be just the best of friends.”
She also shared on the podcast that she was fully aware of everything the role would require from her. “I came into this job and, during the chemistry reads, with more than enough information and knowledge and understanding of what this role required and the show,” Bright said. “And I just fell in love with Hannah and these scripts immediately. There was never a question that I wouldn’t want to do this.”
