The interest in biomedical stories has attracted the interest of many streaming platforms and storytellers. We saw the rise and fall of Theranos and Elizabeth Holmes in the Amanda Seyfried-starrer ‘The Dropout’. On Netflix, karma took down the million-dollar company of the Ushers in Netflix’s ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’. AppleTV+ also dabbled into that space with ‘Severance’.
‘Severance’ stars Adam Scott, Christopher Walken, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, and others. The story revolves around the employees of the biotech company Lumon Industries. The company has a policy where they have to go through the severance procedure, which separates the work life from the personal life. The first season ended on a major cliffhanger, and now one of the creators, Ben Stiller, has hinted at a second season soon.

‘Severance 2’ Cast, Plot, And Release Date
Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson’s dystopian thriller ‘Severance’ was released two years ago on AppleTV+. The series starred Adam Scott, Christopher Walken, John Turturro, Britt Lower, and others. While there has been a delay in the release of the second season due to the writer’s strike and some behind-the-scenes drama, the show will be back soon.
Recently, Apple TV’s official X page posted a picture of Adam Scott’s character Mark, teasing the return of ‘Severance’. Most importantly, Ben Stiller, one of the creators of the show, has answered a fan’s request to give a sign. Ben replied, “We are working on it.” So, we can accept the new season anytime in 2024.

What Was The Behind-The-Scenes Drama?
There have been several reasons for the delay of season two of the AppleTV+ series ‘Severance’. As per a report by the Puck, there was an apparent fallout between the showrunners, Dan Erickson and Mark Friedman. Ben Stiller brought Friedman back, and the problems of scripting, budgeting, and other things persist. So, they had to get Beau Willimon, ‘House of Cards’ creator, on board.
However, Ben Stiller jumped into the drama to clear out the rumors about the showrunners’ differences. On an X fan page, Ben wrote, “No one’s going to the break room. We’re on the same really slow schedule we’ve always been on. Same target air date we’ve always had. Love our fans and each other, and we all are just working to make the show as good as possible.”
