Sherlock Holmes is one of the most celebrated characters of our era. Born out of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s imagination, Sherlock has captivated audiences through books as well as multiple TV shows and movies over the years. With almost all the productions inspired by Sherlock Holmes making great success, the realm is set to expand with an animated show about the detective.
French animation powerhouse Folivari is launching a distribution branch, Folivari International, to handle world sales of the Sherlock Holmes animated spinoff ‘The Baker Street Four‘. Here’s what Sherlock Fans can expect from this new version of the detective’s stories.

Folivari International Acquires Rights For ‘The Baker Street Four’
Folivari, which has emerged as one of the most swiftly expanding animation houses, announced that it has acquired international rights to ‘The Baker Street Four’, an animated spin-off of the Sherlock Holmes’ story. The adaptation pairs a local comic book series on Doyle’s famous detective with four streetwise urchins.
It has been developed in-house by Folivari and Blue Spirit, with Canal+ as the commissioning broadcaster. With the production house set to expand its reach internationally, Melissa Veg will head Folivari International.
Damien Brunner, a founding partner of Folivari, has clarified that the company holds the ambition to branch out and acquire diverse projects internationally. The focus would particularly be on the shows with a higher potential and appeal in both Latin America and the United States.
The expansion also coincides with Folivari’s tenth anniversary, marking a significant milestone for the company.

Folivari Has Propelled To Success As A Leader In The Animation Industry
Other than the Sherlock Holmes adaptation, the international branch of Folivari also picked up three additional titles including two Folivari originals ‘Nino Dino‘ and ‘Kiki & Ailen, along with the Chilean/Brazilian preschool series ‘Guitar & Drum‘, co-produced by Hype Animation and Punkrobot.
Over the past few years, Folivari has established itself as a leader in the industry with award-winning features such as ‘The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales’, ‘Summit of the Gods’, and ‘Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia’.
The company has also managed to develop a robust TV slate, including series like ‘Ernest and Celestine, the Collection‘, ‘Stinky Dog‘, and ‘Samsam – Cosmic Adventures‘.
