In the second episode of ‘Succession‘ titled ‘Rehearsal,’ the Roys and everyone in their orbit commence preparing for the knife fight that’s about to come. The Roy siblings finally find support to stall the GoJo deal for better price negotiation. Watching his progeny plan his demise, Logan (Brian Cox) turns to diplomacy and duplicity and delivers another knockout episode of ‘Succession.’
The title alludes to the rehearsal dinner of their half-sibling Connor’s wedding, but when does this family show up for a joyful celebration? The Roy siblings reluctantly take Connor out on the town, all still plotting ways to crash the GoJo deal from going forward. But the United Front the siblings present is a lie.

‘Succession’ Season 4: Logan Roy Makes ATN His Stronghold
With less than 48 hours to the GoJo acquisition, Logan Roy (Brian Cox) makes a surprise visit to the ATN office. Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) and Greg (Nicolas Braun) watch from far above as the shark-like Logan silently moves around the office, stalking his prey before the kill. Since the children left, ATN is all he has left. Taking the center, he gives the staff a rousing speech and announces plans for radical extension.
The Roy siblings get another opportunity to pull one over their old man elsewhere. WaystarCo board members Sandi (Hope Davis) and Stewi (Arian Moayed) agree to veto the GoJo acquisition as they believe the Swedes can be pressed for more money. Siobhan (Sarah Snook) is quick to see the upside. Kendall (Jeremy Strong) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) don’t want anything to do with it. A meeting is arranged anyway, with both parties agreeing to an overnight decision before the votes get it.

At Connor’s rehearsal dinner, there’s more stress and deeply disengaging news. There’s a spat between the bride and the groom, but the three can’t be bothered. They agree to take Connor out collectively. Privately, everyone is looking for a line to their dad. Kendall gets contacted by Lukas (Alexander Skarsgård), who warns him not to push the price. Siobhan has been in touch with Sandi all this time. A sit down is arranged between just Logan and the children. He offers what appears to be a reasonable deal and a fresh start to their relationship.
It only infuriates the children, who think it’s too late. They practically hound the old man for a lifetime of apology. Still undeterred, he rebukes his children and tells them they aren’t “serious people.” Finally, we see Logan reach out to Roman and ask him to come to head ATN Network. While Roman considers the betrayal, Logan prophesies about the long night of the knives. We can already hear the sounds of blades screeching and knives sharpening. Brian Cox is about to tear everyone apart in episodes to come.
