‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power‘ was welcomed wholeheartedly by the lovers of the fictional land of Middle-earth. It was known at the beginning of the first season that the JRR Tolkien tale would span for about five seasons. And the great news is that the second season had already started its production in October in the United Kingdom.
The first season of ‘Rings Of Power’ was one of the biggest hits from Amazon Studios. The actors gave a beautiful performance and the visuals and settings were much more appealing. The second season is a much-anticipated one. It would have an all-female directing crew and a more engaging plot. Here’s more.
‘Rings Of Power’: How Long Will The Second Season Be?
Similar to the first season of ‘Rings Of Power’, the second season will also have eight episodes. The upcoming season started its production in the UK a couple of months back. Though production has begun, it is not confirmed to when the second part would hit the screens.
“We want the shortest time possible between seasons, but we want to keep the bar just as high. So it’ll take what it takes but there’s been some urgency around moving quickly, which is why these guys have been writing all through their hiatus,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios said to Variety. The audience can expect the second season by end of 2023 or at the start of 2024.
Morfydd Clark will surely reprise her iconic role as Galadriel in the second installment. Most of the old faces will be seen among Elves, the Dwarves, Southlanders, Númenoreans, and the Harfoots. New characters will also appear in the upcoming season. Cirdan, the oldest elf in Middle-earth will also join this new season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
