The British Royalty appears on the shores of ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.‘ Everyone is beyond themselves when Princess Margaret agrees to appear on ‘The Gordon Ford Show.’ And thanks to Midge, she’s elegant and hilarious in her rare American talk show appearance.
Midge asks her manager Susie to swallow her pride and have her booked on ‘The Gordon Ford Show‘ through Hedy. While dining with friends, Abe realizes how much he’s begun to appreciate her daughter’s second act after her life seemingly fell apart. At this moment, he realizes how unfair he’s been to her all her life.

Much to everyone in prime time television’s shock, ‘The Gordon Ford Show’ hits a home run by securing an interview with a member of the British Royal Family. Thanks to his wife Hedy, Gordan Ford books Princess Margaret on the show. The dominantly male writer’s room looks at Midge for direction, who comes through with great jokes. Hedy Ford appreciates her weather report comedy skit for Princess Margaret and gives Midge some much-needed advice.
Heddy also informs Midge of being college roommates with her manager Susie. Realizing how this knowledge could have helped her long ago, Midge argues with Susie about getting over her past with Hedy. Susie (almost) makes things right with Hedy, who urges Gordon to put Midge on the show. Why? Because he owes her. While Gordan Ford makes up her mind, Midge leaves the office quickly after receiving a phone call.

We also see Midge and Joel at their son’s parent-teacher meeting, occasionally zoning out and remembering the early days of courtship and marriage. Midge has a bittersweet reunion with friends from college, who remind her how much has changed for better or worse. They depart after having a wonderfully drunk afternoon.
After learning about her granddaughter being the family’s future genius, Abee has an epiphany. At a restaurant with old and about-to-be older men, he relents his lack of appreciation for Midge. He tells his present company of how he’s always shown a prediction to his son, but not Midge. He’s also proud of how Midge picked herself after the divorce. If only he could tell her daughter he loves her!
