Which Is the Worst-Rated Episode Of ‘Breaking Bad’?

Breaking Bad‘ is known for its perfect cinematography, incredible plotline, and dangerous villains. According to many critics, this show is listed as the best of all time. It is set and filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ‘Ozymandias‘ – Season 5, Episode 14, is the best episode of the series, with a rating of 10 by IMDB. Unlike other series, ‘Breaking Bad‘ does not have a hero, instead, it portrays an anti-hero, who has deflecting morals. The show still holds power even ten years after its release.

The show revolves around an underpaid, overqualified, high-school chemistry teacher Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, who is struggling with a recent diagnosis of stage-three lung cancer. He turns to a life of crime and partners with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) to produce and distribute crystal meth to secure his family’s financial future before he dies, while navigating the dangers of the criminal underworld.

    ‘Breaking Bad’: Worst-Rated Episode

Fly‘ is the tenth episode of season three of ‘Breaking Bad‘ with the lowest rating of 7.3. Directed by Rian Johnson, this particular episode is criticized for being slow and unrelated to the narrative of the story. Many skipped the part where ‘Fly’ is used as the metaphor for Walter’s guilty conscience and his need to be in control. Walter and Jesse combat a loose fly in the lab, protecting the meth from being contaminated.

Gilligan explained that ‘Fly‘ is a bottle episode because they had a budget restraint. They had to shoot only in one primary location because of financial issues. Despite being a bottle episode, Johnson was appreciated for his cinematography and for creating the episode that is best throughout the ‘Breaking Bad‘ timeline.

    Breaking Bad’ Ending Explained

Unlike the ‘Fly‘ episode, the season finale of the episode ‘Felina‘ did not disappoint the fans. It was time Skyler recognized Walter to be the villain, especially after the death of Hank, forcing him to run away to New Hampshire. Vince Gilligan wanted the ending to satisfy the huge fan base of the show, using ‘Casablanca‘ as the blueprint.

The final scene is shared by Jesse and Walt as they individually eliminate Jack and Todd. Then Jesse drives off from the warehouse, setting the plot for ‘El Camino‘ movie. Meanwhile, Walter is left alone with his wounds, and every breath brings him closer to death.

After the heinous crimes committed by Walter, his death seems too easy for him. But he died an honest man as he admitted to Skyler how much he loved cooking meth and playing gangster. Seems like Walter White’s only redemption was death.
