The popular comedy-drama series ‘Entourage‘ ended after eight seasons. Created by Doug Ellin, it received positive reviews at the beginning but later couldn’t keep up the magic. ‘Entourage‘ is one of the few series that exposes the Hollywood film industry in the most brutal yet honest way, thereby allowing the audience more than just a glamorous view of the industry. The good part about the show is that it doesn’t shy away from showing the big Hollywood executives and stars as human beings with flaws and insecurities.
Vincent Chase, played by Adrien Grenier, becomes a star overnight and quickly finds himself fraternizing with some of the biggest names in the industry. His ‘entourage’ includes his elder brother, Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase starring Kevin Dillon, who is not so popular, yet still an established actor in the industry. It also stars Kevin Conolly as Eric Murphy who also becomes Vincent’s manager, and Turtle stars Jerry Ferrera, who behaves more like a rich teenager. We’ll tell you why the show ended.

How Did ‘Entourage’ End?
The last season gave all the characters a neat and happy ending. Vincent Chase spent the final season trying to stay sober and focus on his career. With that happening, he also found the love of his life, Sophia Lear. He gets engaged and heads to Paris for an impromptu wedding. The biggest drama of the finale episode was the news that Sloan, E’s on-again-off-again girlfriend, was pregnant with his baby.
Unfortunately, the news came during one of the couple’s dull moments and it was up to Vince to convince Sloan to give his best friend a second chance. E was planning on quitting the entertainment business and moving back to Queens, but in the episode’s final scene, Vince surprised E with a private jet to take Sloan anywhere in the world to work out their differences.
Meanwhile, Turtle had spent the last season trying to break out on his own, investing in an upstart tequila company called Avión. After losing his girlfriend, whose father had given Turtle a marketing position at Avión, he sold his stock just as the company took off. Luckily, Vince being a good friend knowing his friend had made a mistake, secretly bought all of her shares back for him. The driver was now a millionaire! Johnny Chase, on the other hand, ended on his most successful season ever, voicing the lead role in a popular animated series, and earning the starring role in Vince’s movie. The entourage except for Sloan flies to Paris to attend Vincent’s wedding.

Why Did The Show End?
‘Entourage‘ came to an end after a successful run of eight seasons. After receiving three Emmy nominations, five Golden Globe nominations for best comedy series, and praise for its unique portrayal of male friendships before the term bromance even came into existence. Because of backlash from viewers, the show was forced to end.
Creator of ‘Entourage‘, Doug Ellin believes a “wave of righteous PC culture” has tarnished the series’ legacy, leading HBO to distance itself from the Emmy-winning comedy in recent years, especially amid Hollywood’s #MeToo reckoning. In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment Ellin accuses HBO of minimizing Entourage‘s presence online. “For a while, we were hiding in, like, ‘Wish-Fulfillment Shows‘. We were nominated for the Emmys or the Golden Globes almost every single year, so do not put us on the ‘Must-See Comedy’ list was pretty bizarre,” he said.
