At the start of the series, Sosuke Aizen was introduced as kind and caring. He had a soft-looking appearance with brown hair and big glasses. Sosuke Aizen was very kind and cared a lot about his subordinates. This however changed as soon as his true colors were revealed. When his true personality came out, it was revealed that Aizen is very detached and does not care for anyone.

In addition to that, he is willing to use anyone and everyone and sees people as a means to an end. Speaking about his powers, Aizen is most definitely one of the strongest characters in the series. Sosuke Aizen is a master swordsman and is very fast. He also possesses a great amount of reiatsu, however, his strongest power is his Zanpakuto. Kyoka Suigetsu, his Zanpakuto can fool the five senses with great precision. This makes Aizen very powerful and dangerous to everyone around him.

Aizen Sosuke turned evil because he wanted more power. Whilst this is the gist of his reason, it is not complete. Sosuke Aizen despised the soul king. The soul king is an entity that governs the three planes in which humans, hollows, and souls reside respectively. The soul king used to be an all-encompassing being with more power than anyone in the series.

This all changed when the five families took away his body parts, which stripped him of his powers. After that incident, the soul king was a leader in name only. He did not have even a fraction of the power he used to have. Aizen was unhappy with this status quo. He even yelled at Urahara for being subservient to the king even after everything. The soul king possessed the Almighty, which allowed him to see the future.

According to fans, Aizen was mad at the king for not doing anything to protect himself even after he knew what was going to happen. Aizen turned bad to gain more power. He wished to do that to overthrow the soul king and attain the spot for himself. He uses the Hogyoku for that purpose itself. However, his plans failed when he was defeated by Ichigo Kurosaki
