‘Demon Slayer’ has some of the best arcs not only in Shonen anime but in the entire anime world. One of its most popular and action-packed arcs is finally getting animated in its third season. The third season of ‘Demon Slayer’ features the swordsmith village and the upper moons’ attack on the particular village.
The Swordsmith village arc features Tanjiro, Kanroji, and Tokito. The swordsmith village is very important for the demon slayers. Fans are very curious as to how the village managed to protect itself from Muzan and his demons.
What Is The Swordsmith Village?
As the name suggests, the swordsmith village is one of the most important weapons that the demon slayers have in their arsenal. The village is filled with different swordsmiths that make swords for all the demon slayers and the Hashira. It is a crucial place and without the existence of this particular village, the demon slayers will be weakened to a great extent.
The swordsmiths in the village forge the swords that the demon slayers utilize against the demons. These swords are called the nichirin blades and they are made of scarlet ore and scarlet crimson sand. Both of these materials are found on high mountains. These are the only weapons that can kill a demon because the materials are found on mountains that are bathed in sunlight for many years.
All the residents of the village, be it adults and even children, wear a mask on their faces to protect their identity. The location of the village is very remote and not many people are aware of its existence, let alone its location.
How Did The Village Protect Itself?
As stated above, the village is a crucial place for the demon slayers. If the village collapses, then the demon slayers would be weakened to a great extent. This is exactly why the upper moons chose to attack this place.
To protect itself, the location of the village is not disclosed to everyone. In case anyone wishes to go to the village, they are blindfolded, ears plugged and in Tanjiro’s case, his nose plugged as well and a Kakushi carries them. The Kakushi is changed after a certain distance and the Kakushi also are unaware about the location. They follow a crow to their destination and make a switch with the next one. The paths the Kakushi take, the crows, and the Kakushi themselves are changed frequently to protect the village.
Inside the village, all the residents wear masks. They wear these masks to ensure that they are not tracked and they do not compromise the location of the village. Even the children of the village wear masks and they do not take them off in any situation. Almost no demon slayer knows the faces of any of the swordsmiths in the village. This is how the village protected itself.
