‘Demon Slayer’ is one of the most popular anime currently and fans have a variety of reasons to love the anime. The reasons include the anime’s storyline, the animation, and of course the captivating characters of the series. The moons of the Kibutsuji Muzan are some characters that have gotten the fans’ attention in particular.
However, there is one character that captured the fans’ attention before becoming a part of the Kizuki. Fans are curious as to who Nakime is and how exactly she became a part of the 12 Kizuki.
Who Is Nakime?
Nakime is one of the closest and strongest demons Muzan has in his arsenal. Despite not being a part of the Kizuki originally, Muzan still trusted Nakime and used her blood demon art for his benefit. Nakime seems to be very weak and fades into the background, but she is quite powerful and her blood demon art is very useful.
Appearance-wise, Nakime has very pale skin. She has blue nails and very distinguishable blood-red lips. Her face isn’t visible a lot because her bangs cover it. She has long brown hair that has sharp cuts at its end. After becoming a demon, Nakime decided to show her entire face. She only has one eye instead of two. Her eye is situated in the middle of her face and her complexion near her eye is a darker grey than the rest of her face.
Personality-wise, Nakime is quiet yet cold. She mostly doesn’t speak to anyone unless spoken to and even then, her replies are short and sweet. She is blunt with her words and doesn’t like to engage in conversation that often.
What Is Her Blood Demon Art? How Did She Become A Part Of The Kizuki?
Nakime’s blood demon art is quite possibly the most unique out of all the demons, including Kokushibo, Akaza, and Douma. Nakime can create an alternate dimension like a castle, which is termed the infinity castle. This infinity castle is entirely under her control and it is the place that Muzan uses as his headquarters.
Apart from creating this effective hideout, Nakime can also transport people using portals. She was the one who summoned the lower moons before Muzan killed them. She also sent Hantengu and Gyokko on their mission to destroy the swordsmith Village. Nakime can also create and detach eyeballs from her body which she can use to spy on people.
Nakime originally wasn’t a part of the 12 Kizuki. It was after Hantengu’s death that she became an upper-rank demon. She got the rank of the upper moon 4, which is engraved on her single eye. After becoming an upper moon, she most likely received more blood from Muzan which made her even stronger. Muzan made her a Kizuki because he favored her and her blood demon art. This is how Nakime became a part of the demon moons.
