‘Demon Slayer’ is one of the most popular anime currently. The anime is quite popular among fans all around the world and for good reason. The recently released third season covers the Swordsmith village arc. The village was very well guarded and was quite important to the demon slayers.
The upper moons 4 and 5 managed to find the village and attack it. Attacking the village was a strategic move to weaken the demon slayers. Whilst fans understand the motivation behind the attack, they are still unclear on how the demons found this village.
What Is The Swordsmith Village?
The swordsmith village is one of the most crucial sites for the Demon Slayer corps. This particular village is the strongest defense the humans have against the demons. The people of this village are all swordsmiths who forge swords for the demon slayers and the Hashira to fight with. These swords are called the nichirin blade and each one is made of scarlet ore and scarlet crimson sand. These nichirin blades are the only blades and weapons through which the demons can be killed.
Since the village is very crucial, it is hidden. Not even the demon slayers are aware of the location of the village. If someone wishes to visit the village, they are taken by the Kakushi. The Kakushi is changed after some distance. In addition to this, the people of the village, be they adults or children, wear a mask on their faces so that they are not recognized and they don’t compromise the location of the village.
How Did Gyokko Find The Village?
Gyokko and Hantengu were asked to go on a joint mission to the swordsmith village by Kibutsuji Muzan. Unfortunately, it was never mentioned by the mangaka or by any other sources just how exactly Gyokko managed to find such a secretive village. However, fans do have certain speculations.
The first is that Gyokko found a Kakushi or a demon slayer or a swordsmith from the village and tortured them for the information. However, that is very unlikely considering the Kakushi know only the partial way. Not many demon slayers know about the existence of the village let alone the location and the swordsmiths only travel in the day.
The other theory is that Gyokko used his pots. It is quite possible that one of Gyokko’s pots was sold to someone from the village. The swordsmiths might not have been aware of his techniques and since his pots are beautiful, they might have bought it. Gyokko can travel through his pots and he might have found the village in this manner. It was shown at the start of the attack that Gyokko emerged from his pot. This is how Gyokko may have found the location of the village.
