Now that the ‘Chainsaw Man’ anime series has started airing, many fans are curious about Denji‘s age, who also happens to be the main character. If that’s the case, here’s all you need to know about Denji.
One of the most well-liked manga series right now is ‘Chainsaw Man,‘ thus it was only a matter of time until an anime version was made. Additionally, the characters of an anime tend to gain popularity as well, particularly the major characters. Since Denji is the series’ main character, it is only logical that fans would have many inquiries about him.

Who Is Denji? How Old Is He?
He receives his father’s Yakuza debts as a young child. He joins the Yakuza as a Devil Hunter after meeting Pochita in an effort to pay off his debt. When a Devil-possessed Yakuza betrays him, he passes away and Pochita becomes his heart. He now pulls a rope on his chest to transform into the Chainsaw Man. A teenage lad named Denji has blond, unruly hair. He has yellow-brown eyes with bags under them, giving him a sleepy and disoriented appearance. His teeth are clearly angular and sharp.
Denji was 16 when the series began, and he remains that age for the majority of the first manga volume. His age is indicated from chapter 1 to chapter 79 as being 16 years old.
Denji, however, has aged a year and is now 17 years old at this point in the novel. Denji celebrates his birthday a year before the series’ final arc begins, which is when he discovers who the series’ ultimate enemy is and who is to blame for all the suffering in his life.
Who Is Denji’s Love Interest?
Denji has long been seen as his primary love interest; in fact, he once expressed his desire to treat Makima like a stupid puppy. Denji would want to avoid being hurt by losing the things and people he loved, especially at the hands of Makima herself, therefore she may have always served as more of a coping mechanism for him.
He never fails to show Makima love because she is the only one who has done so despite him killing several of his closest friends. In her own perverse way, Makima provided Denji with a family, a career, and a home, but she left out true love.
She never truly cared about Denji, though; her concern was always for Chainsaw Man. This was crucial to her defeat since Denji eventually consumed Makima’s body and killed her. He still loves her nonetheless, taking care of her pets and Nayuta, her reincarnation. Denji committed himself to providing a loving upbringing for Nayuta when Pochita informed him that the Control Devil’s aspiration was to establish equal relationships with people.
