‘Fairy Tail’ is one of Mashima’s best works that details a world of magic, friendship, dragons, and adventure. Apart from the intriguing plot lines, we also get introduced to our favorite characters and their partners within the series. Where many characters openly flirted and detailed who they love, some shied away from speaking.

10. Cobra And Kinana
Cobra and Kinana first appear as key members of the dark guild Oracion Seis in the series. While Natsu defeats Cobra, the crew members of the guilds are all taken hostage. Kinana who stayed with Cobra as his companion snake takes the form of a human and later joins the Fairy Tail guild.
It was Makarov who turned Kinana into a human. Their reunion later, was an emotional one, where they both acknowledged their strong feelings towards each other, though they never speaks out loud about it.
9. Alzack And Bisca
We can say that Alzack and Bisca are the most complete couple. After the 7-year time skip it was shown that the duo married each other and had a child by the name of Asuka Connell. Both are gun magic users and since the beginning of the series, they stuck with each other. They are a pair in the Fairy Tail guild.
8. Happy And Carla
How can we forget the two little cuties of Fairy Tail (unfortunately Lily didn’t get a companion)? Happy fell in love with Carla the first time he saw her. Though she thought of Happy as annoying at first, she took started caring for the latter. In the series, it was shown that Carla can even take on a miniature human form, which impresses Happy further.
7. Aquarius And Scorpio
It was always fun to see how Aquarius’s violent nature turned into a shy girl image whenever Scorpio was mentioned. Both of them appeared to have already started dating when we first came across the Water Spirit. They are lovely couples and them both being Lucy’s spirits sure must have allowed them plenty of wonderful dates.
6. Elfman And Evergreen
This was a very unusual couple. Leaving the fans aside, even the Fairy Tail members were surprised by their relationship. What started as a joke took no time to fly off in a serious direction. Elfman and Evergreen were involved in many romantic interactions and it was very clear that they would end up together.

5. Zeref And Mavis
Zeref and Mavis’ love story started 800 years ago and through fights and consolations, it came to a bitter-sweet end. Faced with the same tragic curse, both found serenity in themselves. Unfortunately, their love wasn’t strong enough back then to overcome their tragic fate. After years long, the two separated lovers are finally given their happy endings.
4. Levy And Gajeel
They both met with each other as enemies and grew closer after Gajeel joined the Fairy Tail guild. The tough Gajeel and the sweet Levy are sure a cute match. They support each other and are shown to share affection. The most prominent one is Levy kissing Gajeel during the Tartaros Arc to save his life.
3. Erza And Jellal
Both of them went through quite a hefty ride yet their ending was not properly given. Erza and Jellal are one of the most popular ships in Fairy Tail. Met as childhood friends, lovers, and enemies, while reuniting again and rekindling their old flame. They were just about to kiss when Mashima decided to rewrite and postpone their ending (sadly!).
2. Gray And Juvia
The second favorite couple in Fairy Tail, Gray, and Juvia are simply icons. From their squabbles to accepting each other, it’s been quite a journey. Juvia’s persistent love declaration was finally accepted and returned by Gray by the end of the series. Gray is shown to have changed his feelings for Juvia in the course of their time. They are a powerful couple who always stand for each other in times of danger.

The protagonist of the series Natsu and Lucy end up together and at the top list of our selections. Though Natsu never directly proposed to Lucy, it was without doubt that he had feelings for her.
When Natsu assumed Lucy died, he went berserk and nearly awakened his demonic self. He even tries to kiss her when Asuka asks them. Though it’s a bummer that there was no confession till the end, we as fans know they are already old couples at heart.
