Who Is The Angel Devil?
Angel or the angel devil in the anime Chainsaw Man shows the fear of angels. He is also a member of the Public Safety devil hunters. He is a young androgynous male who dons a public safety devil hunter suit. He is shown to have shoulder-length hair which appears to be red as per the official colored manga. He also has a halo floating above his head and white wings on his upper back, symbolizing his angel side.
The angel devil is an anomaly. He is a mix of both angel and veil but he neither possesses any sympathy towards the humans, nor any hostility, which contradicts the nature of both of his sides. He does, however, grow to have some sympathy for humans later on.
The angel devil is extremely lazy and he hates anybody ordering him. Due to his extreme laziness, he often refuses to work. He can also steal the lifespan of people to make weapons for himself. Due to all of this, he is socially awkward and the only person he is close to is Aki Hayakawa.
The angel devil is quite strong and has superhuman reflexes and speed. His abilities also make him very powerful. He can steal the lifespans of humans through physical touch and can use those lifespans to make weapons with supernatural abilities. In addition to this, his angelic wings are strong enough to deflect bullets, although they hurt him.
Is Aki In Love With Him?
The angel devil and Aki have a ship name given to them by the fans. Aki and the angel devil are close to each other and that is why the fans ship them. He is a devil who has no sympathy nor empathy for humans and he does not have any open hostility towards humans. As a result of these things, he is a recluse and does not interact with many people.
The only person that is close to the angel devil is Aki. Due to the angel devil’s powers, any human who touched him loses their lifespan and thus the humans are afraid of touching him. However, Aki is the only person who is not afraid of touching the angel. At the start, Aki was told to get close to the angel devil Makima as she wanted to use him, but after some time Aki genuinely started liking him
The angel devil as well started caring for Aki and mentioned that he would do anything to make sure that Aki doesn’t die. Angel devil and Aki have formed a bond of some sort, however, it is not canonically mentioned that it is romantic. However, the AkiAngel fans are hoping for it to be real!
