As per an Instagram video, Zahara spoke at a mother-daughter brunch hosted by the Pearls of Purpose Foundation, saying that talking about her relationship with her mom is not easy. The challenge is there because their bond feels very personal and hard to fully describe.

“Our love for each other is a found one,” Zahara said as she reflected on her upbringing. She added that these lessons might sound simple, but they are not always easy to follow. Having a mother who shows these values through her actions made a big difference in her life.
