She called their connection “almost kindred” and explained that their story began when she was adopted at just six months old. Since then, Jolie has raised her children by teaching them to be kind, help others, and keep growing as individuals.

Our love for each other is a found one,” Zahara said as she reflected on her upbringing. She added that these lessons might sound simple, but they are not always easy to follow. Having a mother who shows these values through her actions made a big difference in her life.

She explained that constant public attention makes it difficult to enjoy private and meaningful moments. Many people are always watching, which can feel overwhelming. Because of this, she cannot always share her personal life in the same natural way others can.

Even then, this situation has not created distance between her and her family. Instead, it has encouraged a stronger understanding. Her family continues to support her journey, even when they cannot be present in every moment.

She shared that her mom remains very involved in her life. Jolie often asks about her classes, her experiences, and her sorority life. Zahara said her family always makes an effort to understand what matters to her and support her growth.

Zahara also spoke about how her mother’s actions influenced her future goals. Watching Jolie’s humanitarian work over the years had a strong impact on her thinking. It encouraged her to care about others and find ways to help people in need. As the oldest sibling, Zahara often took on a caring role at home. She described herself as a “second mother” to her younger siblings and said she truly enjoyed looking after them.

Today, she carries those values into her college life. Zahara reflected on everything her mother had taught her. She shared a quote that stayed close to her heart over the years. “I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me.” Then she looked at Jolie and said, “Thank you, Mom.”
