As Taylor Swift’s popularity surges, there has been an increased threat of stalkers going way out of there, breaking laws to stalk her during her tours or try to break into her houses in Nashville and New York. In August 2023, a frantic man, Ashley Arbor, tried to enter her Tribeca building to marry her. Another man is now arrested for allegedly trespassing on her New York property.
The Stalker Tried Opening Taylor Swift’s House’s Door
Taylor Swift gets inundated with millions of fans across the country and the world. She is constantly surrounded by the paparazzi, who are tracking the ‘1989’ singer’s every move. While fans and paps maintain certain boundaries, many erratic stalkers forget that there is one! A recent example of this is a stalker who tried to break into Taylor’s New York apartment.
A representative of the New York Police Department told Page Six that they received a call about a “disorderly person” on Franklin Street. The representative said, “Upon arrival, [police] were informed that the individual attempted to open a door to a building at the location.”
The eyewitnesses told the media outlet that the man was roaming in the neighborhood for weeks before getting arrested on January 21, 2024. The sources told Page Six that he was “sleeping on the stoop, chain-smoking constantly, shouting, and generally making everyone uncomfortable.”
A neighbor told the outlet, “When he arrived before Christmas, my husband asked what he was doing here, and he said, ‘I want to see Taylor’. He even had flowers at one point.”

A Stalker Trespassed The Artist’s Property To Marry Her
In August 2023, another stalker named Ashley Arbor was arrested by the New York Police Department for stalking and trespassing at Taylor Swift’s Tribeca building. Arbor entered the building, and a resident asked him about what he was doing.
When Ashley said that he wanted to meet Taylor, the resident suggested he go out and ring the doorbell. Then, the police arrived and arrested him.
After the arraignment at the Manhattan Criminal Court, Ashley Arbor talked to The New York Post about his intentions of trespassing on Taylor Swift’s property. He said, “I was disappointed. I love her. I want to marry her. I want her to he my anchor—someone that will have me stay put. I never had someone that kept me grounded.” He claimed that he had a relationship with the singer, so he boarded a bus in Atlanta and came to New York.
