Ariana Grande recently made a very shocking confession about being attracted to the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Though she was one of the many to hold a true crime obsession, she once did a huge mistake of revealing it to her young fanbase.
During an appearance on the Podcrushed podcast, the Grammy-winner shared when she realized how her confession could impact the impressionable minds of her young fans and instantly regretted confessing her love for Jeffrey Dahmer. Here’s what she said.
Ariana Grande Admits To Being Infatuated With Serial Killers When Young
Ariana Grande is definitely not the only one to be charmed by the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The cannibalistic sexual predator had the looks to charm anyone he might want to while appearing innocent. While we don’t entirely blame Ariana for her unconventional choice, we do think it was a risky move to reveal it to her fans — and so does she.
Speaking during a recent interview, Grande admitted, “I was infatuated with serial killers when I was younger.” The confession prompted co-hosts Penn Badgley, Nava Kavelin, and Sophie Ansari to dig deeper. As she further detailed her admiration for the serial killer, Grande recounted a meet-and-greet experience that almost got her in hot water with a fan’s parents.
“It was in a Q&A with fans, with young fans. It was in between me being Cat [in Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat] and pop stuff, so it was like a younger group, and they were with parents. Someone asked, ‘If you could have dinner with anyone living or dead, who would it be?’” she said.
“I was like, ‘Oh, you’re so cute. Mom and dad, is it okay if I give the real answer?’ And they were like ‘Sure, what’s the answer?’ I said, ‘I mean, Jeffrey Dahmer is pretty fascinating. I think I would have loved to have met him. Y’know, maybe with a third party or someone involved. But I have questions,’” Grande added.

Ariana Grande Achieved The Next Best Thing Out Of Her Infatuation With Jeffrey Dahmer
While the answer earned Ariana Grande a laugh from the Podcrushed hosts, she hinted that the adults in the room were far from thrilled. “The parents were like, ‘We’ll explain it later, sweetie.’ And I was like, ‘I’ll just sing ‘Problem’ and go home,’” she said.
Though it is impossible for Grande to have the chance to dine with Dahmer, she has already achieved the next best thing — starring in a music video with Evan Peters, who delivered a stellar performance as the serial killer in ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’.
The actor, who starred in Grande’s ‘The Boy is Mine‘ video, quipped that between him and Peters, her Eternal Sunshine album is essentially a “serial killer tour.” Reacting to the comment, Grande let out a laugh.
“I knew someone was gonna say this. Like, ‘Why the f—? What is this pattern? Do we need to talk about this pattern here?’ Maybe there’s something to look at,” she joked, adding, “No, I’m kidding,” she said.
