Billie Eilish has opened up once again about the pressures that come with fame, beauty standards, and constantly being judged in the public eye. But this time, the singer’s comments about aging and cosmetic surgery have sparked a major conversation online.
During a recent appearance, Eilish explained why she refuses to change her appearance through cosmetic procedures, even as more celebrities continue to embrace them.
Billie Eilish Explains Why She Wants To Grow Old Naturally

While speaking on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast on Tuesday, Billie Eilish revealed that she genuinely looks forward to aging. “I am so excited to age. And I’m so excited for my face to age and my body to age. And not change it,” she said.
The singer explained that she wants to experience every natural change that comes with growing older. Eilish then shared the emotional reason that strengthened her views on cosmetic surgery.
The 24-year-old explained that she wants her future children to see themselves in her naturally, rather than a heavily altered version. “I want my kids to look at me and have my face look like their face and not be some botched version of whatever the f–k is going on out there right now,” the singer added.
The conversation also pushed Eilish to reflect on how differently she viewed herself as a teenager. “I never thought I would not be a teenager,” she said. “I remember when I was 17, I was like, ‘Okay, I am the person I’ll be forever right now.’ And that’s not how it works, obviously.” Now, adulthood has completely changed that mindset.
Eilish Continues To Embrace Her Evolving Image Despite Criticisms

Billie Eilish has openly discussed body image struggles several times throughout her career. Back in 2023, the singer admitted that public criticism about her appearance still affects her emotionally. Even though she has grown more confident over the years, it still affects her.

“Honestly, nobody can say anything about my body that I don’t have a stronger opinion about,” she told Vogue in 2023. The ‘What Was I Made For?‘ singer also confessed, “I also think that if I were younger, like if the internet talked about me the way they do now when I was like 11, I don’t think I would be able to exist, to be honest”.
Eilish said she now focuses more on how she personally feels. “I like myself more than I used to, and I’m more interested in how I feel than how they feel. But then also that might be a load of bulls–t because it still hurts my feelings like a son of a b—h.”
Eilish has also admitted that living under nonstop public attention can feel “tough” and said she is still learning how to navigate her “weird life” in the spotlight.
