Some trade pundits also argue that Chapek’s net worth could be as high as $50 million. It has been estimated that Chapek earned the majority of his net worth by working for Disney for 30 years. His annual salary was expected to be around $3 million dollars as the director and the CEO of the company.

    Not only that, he owned thousands of shares of Disney, which are worth millions. Chapek has sold multiple thousand shares of the company in the past and made his biggest sale in September 2021.     Bob Chapek’s career has been illustrious, to say the least. Before joining Disney, he worked at several different companies. Chapek first worked at Amoco Oil Company in Chicago. Shortly after that, he joined the H. J. Heinz company. He worked in a brand management position for a condiment company. Chapek also worked for J. Walter Thompson, an advertising agency that has worked for many high-profile companies.

    Bob Chapek’s long stint with Disney began in 1993. He joined as the marketing director of Disney’s home entertainment distribution department. They focused on the sale of VHS tapes and soon Chapek became the president of the division in 2006. Then, he became Walt Disney Studios’ president for distribution in 2009. Chapek was also made the president of Disney Consumer Products in 2011.

    In 2015, Bob Chapek became the chairman of Disney’s Parks and Resorts. He succeeded Thomas Staggs who became Disney’s COO. He oversaw the completion and opening of Disneyland Shanghai in 2016. During his tenure as the chairman of Parks and Resorts, it was estimated that he spent $24 billion on the upkeep and maintenance of all the resorts, cruises, theme parks, and hotels.
