The period drama, ‘Bridgerton,’ has done exceptionally well on Netflix. A series of glamour, marriage and love, the TV series is all set for its third season. The show is also on the top 10 of the most streamed shows on Netflix!
While shooting for the upcoming series, actress Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington in the show, took to her Instagram to reveal some of the hardships that come along with wearing the regency gowns, especially during Summers.

Nicola Coughlan Put The ‘Tan’ In The ‘Bridger’
On July 29, the 33-year-old actress updated her fans on Instagram about the Bridgerton season 3, and how her shoot days have been. Posting a selfie of herself, the fans spotted a deep sunburn on Nicola’s chest, clearly an indicator of the regency gowns the actress had to wear for the show.
She captioned the image, “And so…the Bridgertan* returns,” which showcased a red outline due to the sunburn on her neck and cleavage. The pun that Nicola Coughlan used in the caption was really witty!
‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Will Focus On Penelope Featherington
Sometime earlier this year, Nicola Coughlan also revealed that her character, Penelope Featherington, will be the primary focus of season 3. The show will span more Penelope and Colin’s story. It was also revealed that the upcoming series is skipping book three of Julia Quinn’s ‘Bridgerton’ book series in favor of book four.
The actress was also asked if she is ready for the probable sex scenes to which she replied, “I’m gonna have to be!” Nicola had also shared that being the new lead and the star of the show is ‘terrifying’ to her, even though she knew about it for a long time and therefore had a lot of time on her hands to prepare.
Nicola said, “I’ve known [since], like, two weeks into filming season two, so I had a lot of time to adjust to it. But then, last night when they were like, ‘The news is coming out. You can talk about it’, I was like, ‘I don’t want to. I’m too scared.'”
Nicola also excited the fans when she shared that the new season will be more on the side of ‘sexy’ just how ‘Polin’ (Penelope and Colin) have been. The couple has had two seasons of buildup, and season three will be their time to rock!
