Britney Spears has had a turbulent personal life, which has affected her marital life extensively. The pop icon’s father imposed conservatorship and took control of her personal and financial life until 2021 due to her public meltdown and erratic behavior. She also divorced the father of her two children, Kevin Federline, in 2006 after the birth of their second child, Jayden James.
In 2007, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline settled their divorce and decided to have joint custody of both of their children. However, Kevin changed his mind after the meltdown episode with the ‘Outrageous’ singer and her rehabilitation. However, after the divorce settlement, she went into conservatorship, transferring custody to Federline. She has been paying the child support, but she will not have to pay it anymore as Sean is turning 18.

Britney Spears Is Tired Of Paying The Child Support Money To Kevin Federline
Dailymail.com has exclusively gotten the scoop on Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s child support arrangement. Britney was paying $20,000 in child support to Federline for her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The father of the sons allegedly demanded $60,000 for child support in 2018.
However, a source told Dailymail.com that Britney is relieved that Sean is turning 18 soon and she does not have to pay child support to her ex-husband anymore.
The source closer to Britney Spears told the outlet, “Britney is relieved that Sean is turning 18 on September 14 because she is tired of paying Kevin the insane amount of money he is getting.”
The source continued, “Britney is happy to help Sean and Jayden. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for her sons. But this would go directly to them after they turn 18 instead of Kevin.” However, her friends allegedly said that Kevin should get a job now to look after Sean and Jayden.

Did Kevin Federline Move To Hawaii To Extend The Period Of Child Support?
Kevin Federline, with his wife Victoria Prince, their four kids, and Sean and Jayden, has moved to Aloha State, Hawaii. The speculation was strong when reports came out that Kevin Federline was trying to extend child support by moving to Hawaii. In California, if a child graduates or turns 18, whatever comes first, the child support is no longer due.
However, in Hawaii, child support is extended until the child turns 23 years old. So, Kevin was rumored to cash in on the legislation by procuring more money from Spears.
An amendment was made in 2016 to the statute so that the child support implemented in one state cannot be changed if he, she, or they move to another state. The legislation remains the same as when the initial order was issued. Kevin reacted to speculations, saying, “A lot of people say a lot of stupid things.”
