Chris Hemsworth Would Not Have Done ‘Thor 4’ If Not For Taika Waititi
Talking about his return as Thor for the latest film in the franchise, Hemsworth said that he would have considered saying no to the new film if it hadn’t been for ‘Ragnarok‘ director Taika Waititi deciding to return.
“I don’t know that I would’ve done another if Taika hadn’t said yes, he was going to do it,” Hemsworth told Vanity Fair. He continued, “He had written this beautiful script which was a wacky, crazy, romantic comedy set in space and that I hadn’t seen before.”
Hemsworth’s latest appearance as Thor will be in his fourth standalone film after Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). The actor stars in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘ alongside Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Tessa Thompson.
In another interview, Hemsworth spoke about his future as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the interview, he was asked, “What is Chris Hemsworth’s last Marvel movie?”
“The last one I just shot was ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,'” the actor said. “And it may be my last, I don’t know.”
Hemsworth Talks About His Experience Shooting For The Film
The movie ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘ is set after the events of ‘Endgame.’ In which Thor was last seen getting on a spaceship with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

On being asked about the filming experience, Hemsworth said, “It was a wild and fun and wacky experience, as all Taika Waititi movies are. I played that character for 10, 11 years now and each time it’s been new and exciting, and this was no exception.” He further added, “It felt very fresh and it felt like we were trying something we hadn’t tried before. It was, in Taika’s words, a wacky, wild, romantic comedy set in space.”
