Bruce Willis is an American actor and singer. He is most known for playing the role of detective John McClane in the action film franchise ‘Die Hard’. He has also starred in movies such as ‘Blind Date’, ‘Mortal Thoughts’, ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘The Fifth Element’, ‘Tears of the Sun’, ‘Perfect Stranger‘, and many more. Born in West Germany to American David Willis and German Marlene Willis, Bruce was interested in acting since childhood and joined the drama club in high school. His first acting break came in 1985 when he was cast as David Addison Jr. in the series ‘Moonlighting’. He retired from acting in 2022 after his diagnosis with aphasia, which impacts a person’s speech and comprehension. The Misfiring Incident Involving Bruce Willis
After the announcement of Bruce Willis’ family on February 16, 2023, old reports regarding his misfiring gun incident have reemerged. It was alleged that while shooting for the film ‘Hard Kill‘ in 2020, Bruce had misfired the gun without any cues on the Cincinnati. It was reported that he unintentionally shot a pistol loaded with a blank on the incorrect cue.
The incident was described by two people on set but they also added that they were ‘unauthorized to comment’. Thankfully, no one was injured in the misfiring. It was also said that Bruce forgot his lines on the set and that someone had to feed him lines on the set through an earpiece.
His co-star in the film Lala Kent said that she was unaware of what happened and shook it off quickly before she got to know what happened. She had also asked the director of the film to remind Willis about his lines before firing. In spite of that Willis supposedly misfired again. However, the film’s producer as well as other cast and crew members deny any misfiring incidents.

Bruce Willis’ Worsening Health
Even before his retirement in 2022, there was concern amongst his fans about his health. His management and team scaled back his workload and ensured even before his diagnosis that he wouldn’t work for a long duration. It has been reported that for the last couple of years, he has only worked on a shoot for two days and that too consists of strictly four-hour shifts.
There is also a rumor that Adam Huel Potter, a 41-year-old actor, was paid up to $4,150 per week to read Bruce’s lines to him on the set of Open Source. The actor has reportedly been showing indications of deterioration recently, according to individuals who have collaborated with the senior Willis on his most recent movies.
Around 20 persons who worked with Willis on set in interviews voiced their concerns regarding his welfare. These people also questioned if the actor was completely aware of his surroundings on the set. It is also reported that he frequently received $2 million for two days of work. Hence, the concerns surrounding Willis are not new. We hope that the former actor’s health improves and he remains in the pink of his health. He will be spending his time with his family.
