Amber Heard and Johnny Depp‘s trial is in its final weeks as the judge has handed over the case to the jury. Following Amber’s defamatory op-ed in Washington Post, Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Even though Heard claimed she did not mention Johnny’s name in the op-ed, the actor claimed that it indicated him. Now, the court has been told that Jason Momoa was involved in Heard getting to keep her ‘Aquaman 2’ role.
The legal battle between the two revealed many dark and dirty secrets. Johnny Depp claimed that the op-ed by Heard cost him in a nutshell “everything”. Recently, the trial took a different turn with the testimony of entertainment industry consultant, Kathryn Arnold.
Kathryn Arnold: Jason Momoa Was “Adamant” About Amber Heard Saving Her ‘Aquaman 2’ Role
Entertainment industry consultant Kathryn Arnold testified on behalf of Amber Heard in the trial. According to Kathryn, Heard’s role in the movie was “A star is born” moment. The movie was going to put her on the map. “It was just this extraordinary moment for her, for her career to take off.” But all that changed and her career suffered a complete downfall when Johnny Depp filed a case against her. Amber accused Depp of defaming her by calling her claims of domestic abuse a “hoax”.
Kathryn claimed, “Had Depp not sued her, Amber’s career would be on par with Gal Godot and Ana de Armas. Now, every time she appears anywhere, the social media negativity campaign starts up again.” According to Kathryn, Amber was not allowed even in the promotional events for “Aquaman”.
Arnold said, “Her work stopped following the accusations. Even Loreal stopped working with her. When Heard should be negotiating for her role for “Aquaman 2”, instead she was fighting for her life for another chance.”
She further continued, “The only reason that Amber was still included in Aquaman’s sequel was because of the adamant efforts of her co-star Jason Momoa. The director of the movie James Wan also fought for Amber Heard.”
Kathryn Arnold Claims That Johnny Depp Is His Own Worst Enemy
Arnold even talked about the person who ruined Amber’s career. She claimed Depp is his own worst enemy.
“Well, we’ve talked about the erratic behavior, the tardiness, the drugs, and alcohol abuse,” said Arnold. “And the lawsuits have had a really big impact … because there’s a lot of publicity around anything that he does. Every time Depp has filed a lawsuit, it has brought to light various issues. Whether it was about, you know, erratic behavior or domestic abuse or drugs and alcohol and even spending habits,” Kathryn testified.
“So every time a lawsuit has been filed, the press and publicity has just been charged up and brought everything back to light, and it’s been an unfortunate problem … for the industry to continue to work with him even though all this is out in the public,” Kathryn Arnold Concluded.
The jury will announce its verdict on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s case in the first or second week of June.
