Late Monday, the official ‘Star Wars‘ social media accounts published a statement protecting ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi‘ star Moses Ingram from vicious internet insults. These insults were more racist and ‘Star Wars‘ supported the actress by making their stand clear in a series of tweets.
Ingram portrays the role of Reva Sevander, aka the Third Sister in the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi‘ series. Since the show’s launch, the actress has received a deluge of racist and threatening direct messages. And this week, Moses shared screenshots of racist remarks she has received since the series began on her Instagram story. One person claimed that her days were numbered, while another referred to her as a diversity hiring.

Moses Ingram Receives DMs With The N-Word
We are proud to welcome Moses Ingram to the Star Wars family and excited for Reva’s story to unfold. If anyone intends to make her feel in any way unwelcome, we have only one thing to say: we resist. pic.twitter.com/lZW0yvseBk

Some of the comments and direct messages that Moses has received also contain the “N” word which is also legally prohibited. After recounting the spewing hate she’s facing, Ingram remarked in a video that there’s nothing anyone can do about it. She in fact questioned if such a video of her too will even make a difference.
“The thing that bothers me is this feeling inside of myself, that no one has told me, but this feeling that I have to shut up and take it, that I have to grin and bear it. And I’m not built like that. So, I wanted to come on and say thank you to the people who show up for me in the comments and the places that I’m not going to put myself. And to the rest of y’all, y’all weird.”
Moses finds it strange that still today we are stuck on racism remarks
Around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Ewan McGregor used his ‘Star Wars‘ account to write a comment regarding the abuse. Ewan also noted that ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi‘ is one of the most-watched Disney+ original series debuts. But most importantly, he supported Ingram on being recklessly abused.

Even ‘Star Wars‘ could not resist but share their vision about the entire franchise. Anson Mount, who starred in ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’, has also shown her support for Moses on social media.
“There are more than 20 million sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be a racist.”
