The event made major headlines with the host, Jo Koy, getting trolled for his controversial monologue and the red carpet shenanigans. One of the better looks was that of Dua Lipa, who wore a black Schiaparelli gown, looking ethereal. But the singer shared a video of her struggle to sit at her table in that voluminous gown.

At the 2024 Golden Globes, ‘Barbie’ had three songs nominated—Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’; Dua Lipa’s ‘Dance The Night’, and Ryan Gosling’s debut song ‘I’m Just Ken’. Eventually Billie won the prize, but Dua Lipa made a splashing red carpet debut at the Golden Globes. The ‘Levitating’ singer wore a black strapless Schiaparelli dress inspired by her Mermaid Barbie in the film.
However, the highlight-worthy part of Dua Lipa’s debut was her Instagram post, which made the rounds on the internet. In the video, we could see Lipa struggling to sit elegantly in the gown, showing us the real-life struggles that one faces by spending, as Beyoncé says, billions to look this good.
Dua Lipa penned a hilarious caption that read, “Thank you @goldenglobes for such a beautiful night last night. The only thing missing was a reclining chair.”

The Songstress Had A Fun Vacation In India
Dua Lipa channeled her spiritual and sassy sides during her vacation in Rajasthan, India. The songstress went back to India after four years since she performed with Katy Perry at a music festival in Mumbai. Dua visited cities like Delhi and Jodhpur during her vacation in the country.
The first stop during her vacation was Rajasthan’s blue city, Jodhpur. Later, she went to the Sikh worship place, a gurdwara, in Delhi. The singer also visited many historic monuments in Delhi, went on elephant rides in Rajasthan, and rang in the New Year at the City Palace in Rajasthan.
Dua Lipa shared pictures and her experience visiting India, writing, “I feel so beyond lucky to end my year here in India. Thank you to all the wonderful people here who have shown us so much love, kindness, hospitality, and generosity.”
She added, “This experience has been deeply meaningful. I feel lucky to be in and within the magic with my family where we have had the time to explore, regroup, recharge, and restart. Ready for the year ahead. What a joy!!!”
