“We Started Having Sex All The Time”: Page Wrote In His Memoir
Elliot faced a lot of struggles due to his identity but Thirlby made him feel comfortable in his skin. They shared a movie called ‘Juno‘ and that’s where it started. Elliot wrote in his memoir ‘Pageboy‘, that Thirlby was the “first woman I had a suitably consensual sexual relationship with.”
As they both were co-stars and were of the same age, they both got attracted to each other. Elliot wrote in his memoir that they both shared a kind of chemistry and he was ‘evidentially shy’ around Thirlby. “I’m attracted to you,” and Page said the same back. Then “we started sucking face. It was on,”, he wrote in his memoir.
Elliot and Thirlby both got intimate very quickly and used to have s*x all the time and ‘everywhere’. Elliot explained that being with her made her feel less shameful about herself. “We started having sex all the time: her hotel room, in our trailers at work, once in a tiny, private room in a restaurant. What were we thinking? We thought we were subtle,” he wrote. “Being intimate with Olivia helped my shame dissipate. I didn’t see a glint of it in her eyes and I wanted that — done feeling wretched about who I am.”

Thirlby Came Out As Bisexual In 2011
They tried to keep their relationship as subtle as possible and aren’t sure whether Elliot’s mom who was present in the same hotel was aware of the situation or not. Speaking about sexuality, Thirlby came out as bisexual in 2011. During an interview with Brooklyn Magazine, she said that people shouldn’t hide their sexual orientation and it’s a horrible thing to force people to love in secret.
She said, “No one should have to hide their sexual orientation. Loving people is a necessary part of being human, and it is very difficult to love people in secret. It’s a horrible thing to force people to do. And I am not 100% straight. … I’m so lucky to have a job where it’s okay for me not to be in the closet.”
