Emily told W Magazine, “It’s harder when you’re the one emasculating [your boyfriend]. I’ve done that, and it doesn’t work. If someone is not fulfilled in what they do and you’re a successful girl, it will work against you.”
During that time Emily was still in the middle of making her name. Later, she got successful with her movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘. Moreover, Michael has also been vocal about their relationship claiming that it was hard for him as well.

Every relationship has two sides and its truths. Michael Bublé also shared his part of the story. According to him, their scheduling differences were also one of the contributing reasons. The singer admitted that he was “cringey” and “a jerk” during the relationship.
The Canadian singer said, “In my business, it’s tough to go out with another artist because you’re never together.” He added, “You’re lucky if you can see the person once every two to three months, and with Em, she was on her movies and I was doing my thing so it made it more difficult.”
The breakup was certainly tough on him as he admitted, “I’ll go home and I’ll curl up in a ball and I’ll cry. I’m not kidding. I’ll just cry. I got my butt and heart kicked and it hurt me enough that I looked in the mirror and I didn’t want it to happen again. If I wanted to be a happy guy and really fall in love, I would have to love myself.”
Despite this, both individuals are now successful in their different paths. Emily is happily married to John Krasinski and Michael is married to Luisana Lopilato and are doing well in their respective careers.
