While he is surrounded by legal brawls, one would imagine he will keep his lawyer close. But it’s Kanye West, and so its no surprise that he is actively ghosting his legal representative. The rapper’s attorney Brian Brumfield recently claimed that West has stopped talking to him, and has not paid him either. Here’s all he said and what it legally means for West.

Reports suggest that Brumfield has filed a petition to relieve him of the duty of representing West. As reported by ABC 7, Brumfield was all set to represent West in a suit against an autograph dealer who accused the hitmaker of punching him.
However, Brumfield has alleged that West stopped all communications with him on June 21, and has refused to pay him as well. “Defendant also will not speak to counsel and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” the documents filed by the attorney read. Brumfield’s case is to be heard on July 29.

What Is The Autograph Case Filed Against Kanye West?
While West is currently mired in several lawsuits, the last one regarding an autograph controversy was filed against him on January 10 by Justin Poplawski and his wife, Tiffany Marshall. Justin is an autograph dealer who had asked the rapper for his autograph. However, he has accused him of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence regarding the alleged incident.
