For the evening, Klum wore a custom look designed by Mike Marino, drawing inspiration from classical masterpieces like the “Veiled Christ” by Giuseppe Sammartino and the “Veiled Vestal” by Raffaele Monti. The outfit was crafted from a blend of materials, including latex and spandex, to create the illusion of carved stone.
The travertine-inspired ensemble covered her completely. Klum’s face was fully concealed under calcite-like fabric, hiding every defining feature, while her blonde hair remained tucked away.

Klum’s 2026 appearance marks a clear evolution in her Met Gala journey. She returned to the event in 2025 after more than a decade-long absence, wearing a strapless Vetements gown for the “Tailored for You” theme, featuring ribbon trim inspired by the brand’s signature label.
Before that, her last appearance was in 2013, when she wore a silver satin Marchesa gown with a beaded peplum corset and feather accents. While those looks leaned into classic red carpet glamour, her latest transformation focused entirely on artistic expression and identity.
