Tim Roth is a name that doesn’t need any introduction. The British actor has done several popular films like ‘Reservoir Dogs‘, ‘Pulp Fiction‘ and ‘Vincent & Theo.’ Recently, the 61-year-old suffered an immense loss. His young musician son Cormac Roth has passed away.
Cormac, who was just 25, died on October 16. The Roth family announced this sad news on Monday, October 31. People from the industry have been giving their condolences for this sudden and tragic loss of Tim’s son. Let’s find out the cause of Cormac’s death.

Who Was Cormac Roth?
Cormac Roth was the son of actor Tim and Nikki Butler; he also has an older brother Hunter. A graduate of Bennington College, Roth was a talented guitarist, composer, and producer.
He was living in Los Angeles at the time of his death, but he lived on the East Coast while attending college in Vermont. He graduated from a private liberal arts college, Bennington College.
Cormac released his debut EP, Python, in 2018, and he posted new music on his Soundcloud account initially in 2022. He frequently posted his music pieces on Instagram.
He also composed the background score for Michel Franco’s 2021 film ‘New Order’, which was nominated for several awards at the Venice Film Festival.
How Did He Die?
The son of Tim was battling with Stage 3 germ cell cancer for a year. He passed away last month on the 16th. In November 2021, Cormac announced on his Instagram that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
“He was a wild and electric ball of energy and his spirit was filled with light and goodness,” his family said in a statement. “As wild as he was, Cormac was also the embodiment of kindness.”
The statement continued, “A gentle soul who brought so much happiness and hope to those around him. The grief comes in waves, as do the tears and laughter, when we think of that beautiful boy across the 25 years and 10 months that we knew him.”
On Instagram last year, Cormac had written: “It has taken away half of my hearing, 60 pounds of weight, my confidence, and will continue its murderous path until I can manage to stop it some how, and kill it.”
