Katharine McPhee and David Foster have been married for three years now. The age difference between the couple has been the talk of the town since forever. The First Meeting Between David Foster And Katharine McPhee
Foster and McPhee first met on the stage of American Idol in 2006. McPhee was a contestant in season five and Foster was a guest mentor. McPhee even performed Whitney Houston’s song, ‘I Have Nothing,’ which was actually written by David.
He and Andrea Bocelli actually helped her in practice. The two became friends and were seen at many events together. In fact, David even played the piano at Katharine’s wedding in 2008.
A decade later, in 2017, Foster and McPhee are spotted at the Grammy Museum’s third annual gala, which sparked dating rumors. However, neither of them directly commented on it until later that year they were spotted kissing.

From Red Carpet Debut To Saying Their Marriage Vows To Each Other
One of the many red carpet debuts of the 2018 Met Gala was Katharine and David as well. During the event, McPhee even told Entertainment Tonight that they [David and her] were having a “fun date night.” That same year, Foster proposed to the singer in a romantically extravagant way during their trip to Italy. “He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri. Totally dark, only stars. Thankfully, he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said it was one or the other. And in the end, he spared me,” shared McPhee. In 2019, the duo married with 150 close guests, friends, and relatives.
David has five daughters from his previous marriages. With McPhee, he welcomed their baby boy, Rennie David, on February 21, 2021. The couple shares pictures with their sons and their family time on their social media accounts. Their age gap continues to be a topic of discussion frequently. Addressing this, McPhee in 2021 commented, “We all have the ability to label things and to look at something for the way that it looks or face value and make a judgment,” she said. “So I totally get the judgment initially, but things are never as they appear, things are never exactly as they appear and I’m in love with our love story and that’s all that matters.”
