Shakira And Gerard Pique’s Romance
Shakira met Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique in 2010 on the sets of the Waka Waka music video. It was the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Several players, including Pique made an appearance in it.
“I wasn’t a soccer fan, so I didn’t know who he was,” she recalled. “When I saw the video, I was like, ‘Hmm, that one’s kind of cute. ‘And then someone decided to introduce us.’ ”
Gerard said that they started talking eventually and he told her “we [The Spanish team] would have to get to the World Cup final to see her again, she was singing at the final.”

They Parted Ways In 2022
The couple lived together for eleven years and even shared two sons. In 2022, they announced their separation. “We regret to confirm that we are separating,” they said.
It was later revealed that Gerard was cheating on her with another woman named Clara Chia Marti. Clara is a student of Public Relations and has also worked for Gerard’s film and TV production company Kosmos.
