She was the daughter of Emily Houston, who was a singer herself and a member of the group Sweet Inspirations.
Houston began singing in childhood, mostly at the church. She even modeled at a time, while in high school. At the age of 19, she signed with Arista Records, after which her pop career took over. What Was The Cause Of Whitney’s Death?
On 11 February 2012, just a day before the Grammys, news of Whitney Houston’s death was released to all. As per reports, Houston died of “accidental drowning” in a bathtub, at a Beverly Hills hotel. The 42-page report also added contributing factors of heart disease and heavy cocaine use.
The tragic news of her death left the whole world in shock. As mentioned in People, “There was water found in her lungs that indicated to us that she was alive when she was submerged underwater.” Chronic use of cocaine and heart disease hence complicated things and the singer and talented musician lost her life.
