Martin Scorsese’s Journey As A Director
Martin Scorsese initially made short films like ‘What’s a Nice Girl like You Doing in a Place like This?’, ‘It’s Not Just You, Murray!’ and ‘The Big Shave.’ He was attending the Tisch School of the Arts at the time.
Martin’s first film to be released in theatre was the 1967 independent drama film ‘Who’s That Knocking My Door’ with his fellow student, actor Thelma Schoonmaker and actor Harvey Keitel. Audiences and critics praised his work and after this, he continued to helm more projects.
Martin has been a director of 25 films and most of them have been critically and commercially successful. He is specifically popular as the director of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, which was released in 2013. He will be collaborating with Leonardo DiCaprio once again in another project, titled ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, and it will premiere at a film festival in 2023.
