The pop star Miley Cyrus has always talked about handling two different identities through her teenage years. Her onscreen alter ego Hannah Montana was not something she could easily let go of. The singer recently referred to her life to be similar to that of the movie ‘The Truman Show‘.
The singer did many things including changing her style to bring out the real Miley Cyrus onto the stage. The movies she did, her stage performances, and even her style were changed to dissociate from the bubbly and cheerful TV persona. And this is how she used her performance to show her exit from the character she was playing all her life.

Miley Cyrus’ Life Was Like ‘The Truman Show’
In her latest TikTok video series, Miley Cyrus opened up about her show on the Bangerz tour. She came out of a lifesize image of hers, on her tongue and flew out on a giant hot dog. As the 16th highest-grossing tour in 2014, Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz Tour totaled to make $62.4 million.
‘The Last Song‘ actress also shared how her concert ended with acts that showed her life to be a reflection of Jim Carrey’ ‘Truman Show‘. ‘I wanted to end it with a Truman Show reference. So I flew out on a giant hotdog, obviously, and I left through all the clouds and the exit sign like Jim Carrey does,” she said. “Because I felt like The Truman Show was really a reflection of my life,” she added.

Bangerz Tour Was An Investment In Herself
The pop star, Miley Cyrus was not really supported for her tour ideas but for “it was an investment” in herself. “A lot of these ideas were kind of so outlandish that no one really wanted to support me in making these pieces. So I had big puppets, oversized beds. I came out of my own face on my tongue.“
The tour was for the most part what she wanted and she felt her fans deserved it. ‘I didn’t make a dime on this tour because I wanted it to be excellent, and when everyone kept saying ‘why are you doing this? You are going to do, like, 100 shows and you are not going to make any money?‘ the artist shared in the video.
