It revolves around the students of a local school in a quaint town navigating through the complexities of dealing with childhood trauma, gender identity, and sexuality among other things. The central character through whom the story is narrated, Rue, is played by the talented Zendaya.

The Actress Created History During The 2022 Emmys
During the 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Zendaya created history. She won the Emmy for ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ for her stellar performance in ‘Euphoria’. After winning the award, she became the first Black woman to have won the award for lead actress in a drama series twice. Zendaya also became the youngest two-time Emmy winner.
In her speech, she thanked the broadcasting channel for making a safe space to create “this very difficult show”. The actress thanked creator Sam Levinson for believing in her when she did not believe in herself. She expressed what she wants from the show.
Zendaya said, “My greatest wish for Euphoria was that it could help heal people and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shared their story with me. I want you to know that anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like they are Rue, I want you to know that I’m so grateful for your stories and I carry them with me and I carry them with her”.
