Kevin Spacey is perhaps the most popular victim of cancel culture in Hollywood. After facing multiple accusations of sexual assault, the ‘House of Cards‘ actor was recently acquitted of his crimes. And yet, he continues to face the wrath of Hollywood as well as the common masses.
Opening up about his ordeal, Spacey recently confessed that he is in a dire financial situation because of the legal fees he had to bear over the years. In an interview with Piers Morgan that streamed on Morgan’s YouTube show, the actor got teary-eyed as he revealed he is “many millions” of dollars in debt. Here’s what he said.

Kevin Spacey Is In Millions Worth Of Debt After His Legal Battle
Kevin Spacey got emotional while narrating his woes after losing millions of dollars fighting a long legal battle in which he emerged victorious. The actor revealed that he is under heavy debt and is also facing foreclosure on his Baltimore home.
“This week, where I had been living in Baltimore is being foreclosed on,” a visibly upset Spacey said. “My house is being sold at auction. So I have to go back to Baltimore and put all my things in storage. So… I’m not quite sure where I’m gonna live now,” the 64-year-old Oscar winner said.
Spacey settled in Baltimore in 2012 for his role in ‘House of Cards‘, but now admits, “I can’t pay the bills that I owe.” The actor also said he has contemplated bankruptcy multiple times but has managed to avoid it so far.
When Morgan asked him about his financial status, Spacey bluntly replied, “None,” adding that he still owes millions in legal bills.

Kevin Spacey Insists He Never Intended Sexual Assault Though He May Have Been “Too Handsy”
Since 2017, over a dozen men have accused Kevin Spacey of sexual misconduct. However, he was acquitted in a 2023 London case involving allegations from four men. The court found him not liable in a 2022 civil lawsuit brought by actor Anthony Rapp, who claimed Spacey molested him in 1986.
Spacey, however, is still embroiled in a U.K. civil trial over a 2008 sexual assault allegation, which he denies.
Spacey also opened up about the allegations made against him, admitting that he was “too handsy, touching someone sexually in a way that I didn’t know at the time they didn’t want,” though he clarified that his actions were not gropes.
The show’s host Morgan also asserted that Hollywood’s ostracism of Spacey was “too much.” Spacey in response said, “I don’t believe and never will that the world doesn’t have more Kirk Douglases,” referring to the story of Dalton Trumbo, the blacklisted screenwriter whose real name was Kirk Douglas.
Recently, high-profile actors like Sharon Stone, Liam Neeson, F. Murray Abraham, and Stephen Fry have also defended Spacey.
