Over the years that One Direction reigned the music industry, conspiracy theories surrounding Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson’s “secret” relationship skyrocketed. Though both the artists have denied these allegations again and again throughout their career, fans seem adamant that they are dating.
Speaking up on about these rumors, Louis Tomlinson expressed his indifference to the subject, especially now as there’s nothing that can be done to prevent it. “What I realized a few years ago is that there is nothing I can say. There is nothing I can do to stop those who believe in this conspiracy. They are so connected to what they believe that they will not see the truth for what it really is,” he said during a recent interview.
He further asserted that though many might find these conspiracy theories interesting, it gets irritating to be a subject of them. “I’d be lying if I said it didn’t irritate me a little, but it’s the nature of the job,” Tomlinson said.
Louis asserted that these theories also often affect his personal life as they address his son, Freddie. “There are times when it gets very personal. I have my son, Freddie. He is the most important person in my life. And occasionally, [these theories] end up addressing things that are a little unfair. This is what we have now. There’s nothing I can do about it. Nothing I can say to stop people from inventing what they want to invent. So, so be it.”
What Is The Larry Stylinson Theory?
According to One Direction fans, Harry and Louis secretly dated while being a part of the band. They believe that both the artists were involved in a passionate affair, which some fans believe is continuing till this day. Both Styles and Tomlinson have dated other people throughout their careers and have not, even once, hinted on any of the rumors being true.
Many also believe that they have written songs for each other, especially Harry’s song ‘Sweet Creature‘. Moreover, Watttpad fan fictions and silly fan edits have added to these fake theories, even as both the artists have denied the allegations again and again.

Louis has even written back to a fan on X, saying, “Larry is the biggest load of bullshit I’ve ever heard. I’m happy why can’t you accept that.”
Nevertheless, the conspiracies continue to swirl and many believe that this was one of the reasons why they had a strained relationship later, which ultimately led to the dismembering of their entire band.
