One Direction singer Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid started dating in 2015 and later welcomed a baby girl named Khai in 2020. The couple faced a lot of ups and downs during their relationship. And recently, they both got separated, as Zayn was accused of fighting with Yolanda Hadid.
Since then the couple co-parented their daughter together. Khai mostly loves her mother Gigi and talking about that, Zayn reveals that she took a surprising skill that Gigi passed on to her.
Khai Got These Musical Abilities From Gigi Instead Of Zayn
We all know that Zayn mostly stays away from interviews and public appearances, but recently he did a promotional interview with promotional interviews for his new album ‘Room Under the Stairs’. He made an appearance on the Zach Sang Show and got nostalgic about his days in One Direction and also talked about co-parenting with Gigi.
He revealed a skill his daughter took from Gigi while playing with her. Zayn is a musician himself but he believes his daughter got those abilities from her mother. He talked about how Khai got her musical rhythm from Gigi who used to beat him at playing drums during the game Guitar Hero.
He continued, “[Khai] can play a little bit. She’s not expert level and stuff but she’s got a bit of rhythm when she’s hitting the drums, you can tell that she could definitely develop that into something.”
The Pakistani-British singer added, “Her mum was actually really good at Guitar Hero on the drums, so I was like, maybe she got that from her mum because I was diabolical at it.”
Even after their relationship ended they still co-parent Khai and talk openly about it during interviews without any bad blood.

Zayn Got Nostalgic About His Days In One Direction
One Direction is one of the biggest boy bands in history till now. They had a crazy fan following among the teenagers. Due to some personal reasons, Zayn left the band in 2015, and after that, the band soon went on a hiatus for 18 months and never came back. But the boys do talk about their good times while being in the band during interviews and podcasts.
Zayn while getting nostalgic about his good times in the band, regrets “not enjoying the band enough,” and wishes he took things less seriously. He was not doing great with his mental health during that time and was going through an eating disorder.
Zayn faced a lot of negative criticism for leaving the band. But he has been doing well ever since then. He said, “I’m grateful that I’m able to be happier now and actually enjoy things, and own my own perspective.”
“That’s my choice. I get to decide what it is. If I negatively frame everything, I’m not going to gain satisfaction from it, but if I move with happiness, I can gain so much more and have a good time,” the 31-year-old singer added about his decisions and happiness.
Zayn being an optimistic person also added, “You should be a nice person, you should be somebody that people want to be around, and enjoy being in your presence, and you should bring light to people’s day instead of being this negative cloud of energy”.
